The stretchable side panels serve multiple purposes. Firstly, they add a great sense of space to the sleeping bag by gently expanding when you move around. It also automatically removes the excess air inside, thus improving the temperature performance of the bag. And lastly; it really does feel like a gentle hug all night.
As a completely unique feature, the Voyage comes in a down filled packsack. And though this may seem strange at first, you will surely appreciate its alter ego functions. When open and empty, you can use the sack as an insulated footbox, giving you extra warmth to your feet on cold nights. If you are not cold, you simply zip it closed to form a nice down filled pillow.
