bringing people outside - since 1901
For more than a century, Nordisk has been part of outdoor life. From Caravan to Yeti and Y by Nordisk, generations of explorers have trusted our gear.
Today, these stories come together under one name — Nordisk. Built on heritage, driven by innovation, and always inspired by the Nordic spirit of being out there.

HERE'S TO THE NEXT 125 YEARS. STILL LISTENING. STILL INNOVATING. STILL OUT THERE.

the past of nordisk
nordisk looks back on a heritage of 125 years
Nordisk has evolved through a family of pioneering brands that each shaped our identity. From the early days of Caravan, which helped define modern camping equipment, to Yeti, where innovation in down products set new standards for outdoor comfort. Later, Y by Nordisk introduced a contemporary expression of our heritage, bringing technical expertise into a modern lifestyle context.
Together these chapters form the DNA of what we today call Nordisk. A brand rooted in craftsmanship, exploration, and the belief that great outdoor experiences begin with thoughtful design. Our history is not a collection of separate brands, but a continuous story of innovation built on the same Nordisk spirit since 1901.

"Our Nordisk tents have been with us on our greatest wildcamping journeys when we started out with the two of us and when our family grew to four.
This one of our first trips with our son in the French Alpes. It was amazing to share the experience of seeing the dun go down in this magnificent place!"

"Camping trip on Bornholm, September 2025. This photo was taken late at night under the most beautiful starry sky, and the lighting inside the tent looked absolutely amazing. An unforgettable experience!"

"Every year, my cousin and I go on a trip. This photo was taken at the top of Molden.
When we arrived, we packed our backpacks with everything we’d need for an overnight stay on the mountain. Then we set off uphill and found the most beautiful campsite overlooking the fjord. The hike took about three hours, so it wasn’t the longest hike, but it was without a doubt one of the most stunning places we’ve ever set up camp.
Once we’d set up the tent, we baked cinnamon rolls using sausage roll dough with homemade filling on the Trangia stove… highly recommended! For dinner, we made orzo with salsiccia, peas, and lemon, and it tasted absolutely fantastic.
The Nordisk tent is always a pleasure to pack in your backpack. It weighs almost nothing, is quick to set up, and makes the trip even better."
