Originally launched in 2009, Companyon quickly became a Nordisk favourite. This season, it returns: refined, updated, and ready for the journeys of today. Still defined by the same core idea: that true design combines simplicity, comfort, and function.

The AW26 Companyon Collection introduces new fits, improved details, and a refreshed colour story inspired by Nordic nature: from Blue Mirage and Black Coffee to Tibetan Red and Black. Natural tones that shift with the seasons and reflect the strength of the outdoors.

The Craft: Built to Perform

Behind the light feel and clean design lies advanced craftsmanship. Each Companyon is insulated with Crystal Down®: Europe's finest 95/5 white goose down with a fill power of 800+. This insulation keeps you warm with minimal weight, ensuring year-round comfort and natural temperature balance.

The outer fabric is Nordisk's signature innovation: Next to Nothing™, developed in Japan using 100% recycled 10D Toray nylon.

This ultra-fine yarn is ten times thinner than a human hair and is woven into a durable ripstop structure weighing just 26 g/m². With more than 60,000 weave points per square inch, it's light, breathable, and down-proof, yet strong enough to handle everyday use and outdoor wear.

Wind- and water-resistant, treated with PFAS-free DWR, and naturally breathable, Companyon adapts to your movements and regulates heat and moisture for lasting comfort. Each style packs down into its own pocket and unfolds ready for action: from chilly commutes to alpine hikes.

Every detail is considered: upgraded zippers, soft linings, adjustable hood, and refined stitching that keeps performance effortless.

Next to Nothing™

• Made from recycled yarns
• Is a "neutral" fabric – we do not coat or overload with chemicals
• Is breathable
• Created using an extremely fine and dense weave with the latest technology
• Down proof due to an extremely high density (approx. 60,000 weave points per square inch, 2.54 x 2.54 cm)
• Woven with a mini rip stop feature to enhance strength and durability
• So thin and light that the product can be packed into its own pocket
• Very wind and water resistant, while offering high breathability
• Made with PFAS-free water repellency
• If compressed or pocket packed it slowly gets straightened/ironed by body heat
• Easily lightly cleaned with a wet wipe or the like for spotcleaning
• Washable (according to the care label in the product)

Crystal Down®

• A single Crystal Down® cluster has a diameter of up to 4 cm and white fluffy "arms" to entrap air and ensure optimal insulation
• It takes up to 1,000 Crystal Down® clusters to reach just 1 gram of filling
• An upcycled residual product from food production
• Certified by internal and international standards, such as the RDS and the IDFL
• From birds with unrestricted access to healthy food, water, shelter and light
• A European production
• From a flock with restricted and monitored density
• Handled and transported with care
• Each product is marked with a special code that reveals the down quality and the origin of the down
